Nordic Swan Ecolabel

A wide range of Attends products have received the Nordic Swan Ecolabel Certification – a world-leading ecolabel with high awareness and credibility, existing for over 30 years. Having the Nordic Swan certification means that our products have amongst the lowest environmental impact within the relevant product group.

FSC® and PEFC

Attends are certified according to FSC® (FSC C117935) and PEFC. All fluff pulp used in the manufacture of Attends products comes from suppliers that are certified according to FSC® or PEFC. The pulp meets at least the requirements of FSC® controlled wood, meaning that the origin of the fibers has been controlled by a third party.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100

If a product carries the STANDARD 100 label, every component of this product has been tested for harmful substances, ensuring that the product is harmless for human health. Most of Attends products are certified today and we are working to certify more of our product assortment.

OEKO‑TEX® STeP

OEKO‑TEX® STeP (Sustainable Textile & Leather Production) is a certification for production facilities that meet high standards for environmental performance, chemical management, workplace safety and social responsibility. Attends has reached Level 3, the highest level within OEKO‑TEX® STeP, confirming that our production follows best practice in sustainable and responsible manufacturing.

Proderm

Attends products are dermatologically tested and approved by proderm in Germany, demonstrating excellent leakage protection, skin dryness and very good skin health performance, which is why our products  carry the proderm quality seal.

Financial Climate Contribution

Our manufacturing plant uses 100% renewable electricity and renewable district heating. This has reduced our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 95%. We make a financial contribution to verified emission reduction projects to compensate for our remaining Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and some Scope 3 emissions - such as upstream energy emissions, employee commuting and business travel.

Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

Having climate targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) means that our goals for reducing emissions have been reviewed and validated by international experts. SBTi ensures that the targets align with the latest climate science and the Paris Agreement’s objective to limit global warming to no more than 1.5°C. We are committed to significantly reducing emissions within our own operations and across our entire value chain. Our short-term goal is that we will cut our direct emissions by 42% and reduce emissions from suppliers, materials and transportation by 25% by 2030. Our long-term goal is that we aim to reduce all emissions by 90% and reach Net Zero no later than 2050.
